We were young and we were American Soldiers, and we were part of the Vietnam War.
In 1967 age 18 yrs I was drafted and dispatched to Vietnam to fight a War. Required by law to register for a lottery draft the options were register or go to jail. The War in Vietnam lasted 12 long years from 1964 to 1975. We were rounded-up, and expected to fight and die for our country without questioning.
Once drafted I was able to utilize my drawing talent and became a Combat Artist. Created hundreds of drawings for the United States Army and I was able to capture images from Vietnam locals, and American soldiers.
Every one that play a part in the Vietnam War had a different experience and a different story to tell. I publish my first book called the The Legends of the Dark Stranger (Vietnam Days) the book is about my journey, my experience as I saw it.
